What hospitals and facilities do you provide nurses for?
We provide nurses to hospitals as far as the Sunshine Coast, to the Gold Coast, to Tweed Heads, inclusive of metropolitan Brisbane, in both the public and private sectors.
How many shifts can I expect to get?
Whatever your workload requirement is, First Choice is equipped to provide you with the right shift in the right facility at the right rate-of-pay at the right time.
When do I get paid?
At First Choice Care we offer the option of weekly or fortnightly pays.
As a Nurse, am I entitled to Superannuation?
Yes you are. A contribution to your specified Super Fund is made on a quarterly basis. The calculation that is used is in accordance with the Australian Taxation Office.
Should you gross over $450 per calendar month you receive 9% superannuation, which is paid on a quarterly basis.
Do I get a choice of Assignments?
Yes, you have the first and last say on where and when you take your assignments.

What are the Agency's expectations of myself as a nurse?
- A professional presentation, including a First Choice issued uniform and identification badge.
- That you as a nurse you conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
- That if you are available for a shift, you should be contactable so that you can be given your assignment in a timely manner.
- That you will always put the duty of care of your patients ahead of everything else.
If I'm a student nurse, can I still join?
Depending upon how you've progressed in your studies, First Choice Care would be happy to welcome you after assessing your relevant clinical experience.
