Q. How does working for First Choice Care Nursing Agency differ to traditional full-time and part-time positions?
A.
Agency work gives you the flexibility to choose when and where you work, usually has a higher hourly rate of pay, including superannuation, and is often varied in work choices.

Q. What are the requirements to be signed up as an nurse with your agency?
A. Please chat with one of our friendly staff for guidance on how to become a nurse with First Choice Care on 1300 307 241.

Q. What are the rates of pay?
A. First Choice Care will do their utmost to secure you the most competitive rate of pay it can. Rest assured you will be kept up-to-date with details of your current rate of pay and other entitlements.

Q. When do I have to work? How many shifts will I get?
A. First Choice Care offers you the freedom to choose when and where you work.

Q. How do I find out if and when I have shifts?
A. By phone – keep your phone handy as when we call if you do not answer we have to move onto the next nurse.

Q. How much notice will you give me for a shift?
A. It will depend on when the shift has been requested, but we will give you as much notice as possible.

Q. I only want to work in Hospitals – is this possible?
A. We can note this on your file. Please be aware that if you only want Hospital work that will limit the number of calls you will get for work.

Q. I’m having trouble accessing my account on the First Choice Care Website (First Choice Care Live Service), what do I do?
A. Please contact us so we can help.

Q. Where do I sign on for my Hospital shift?
A. Please refer to the Hospital ‘Bible’.

Q. There is nowhere for me to sign off and on at the facility, can you help?
A. Please supply First Choice Care with a fax number for the facility and we will immediately fax a FCC Sign On Sheet to them.

Q. My shift times have changed. What procedure do I follow?
A. Let us know and we will update these details on Venus with a note that you contacted us to advise of the time change.

Q. How do I access the online training?
A.We will provide you with a username and password and you will be able to access the online training through the education tab.
