Tell us a bit about yourself
I started with First Choice Care in 2019, previously having worked in a Hospital based role. I consider myself as the easy going one in the office, as long as no one messes with my “OCD”.
I have an irrational fear of cotton wool balls, but I am totally ok with the cotton tips.
I love to take on a challenge… as long as that challenge does not involve cotton wool balls.
What is your role at First Choice Care?
I am one of the Remote & Rural Consultants, I make it my mission to get the best contracts for our nurses because, obviously, our nurses deserve the best!
I am also responsible for “not” laughing at Michael’s dad jokes and utilising my OCD to keep the office organised…
What do you love most about your job?
I love talking with all our nurses and getting to know them on a personal and professional level, this way I can ensure I am matching them to the perfect contract opportunity that I know they will love.
I also really love the acoustics available to me in the office as it creates the perfect stage for my Nicki Minaj – “Bang Bang” performances that I have been working on since 2014.
What do you see as the biggest opportunity for the nursing sector?
With a government focus on supporting our health care, with training programs, projects and courses being released in an effort to support our health department staff in these unprecedented times, we have an opportunity to explore new career pathways and step in to different areas of the industry that we may not have considered before.
Who’s someone you really admire?
Any of our nurses working in Tropical Queensland.
What do you like to do on your days off?
Sun, surf and soaking in the rays.
