As a healthcare or aged care worker, it is your responsibility to act in ways that are respectful, kind, ethical and consistent. These behaviours are not only central to delivering quality care but are formalised through national and sector-specific codes of conduct.

Nurses & Midwives
All nurses and midwives working with First Choice Care are expected to meet the professional standards required to practise safely and ethically.

This Code applies to health care workers delivering a health service and sets out minimum expectations for safe, competent, and ethical care. It is designed to protect the public and guide workers in all health professions who are not regulated under a National Board.
Code of Conduct for Aged Care Workers
Aged care workers play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing and dignity of older Australians. This Code outlines the expected behaviours that ensure people receiving aged care feel safe, respected, and supported at all times.

1. Act with respect for people’s rights to freedom of expression, self-determination and decision-making in accordance with applicable laws and conventions.
