As an Intensive Care / Critical Care / High Dependency Registered Nurse, you’ll deliver vital care to seriously ill or injured patients with life-threatening medical conditions. Working across Sydney’s public and private hospitals, you’ll provide specialised, evidence-based care for critically unwell patients following injury, surgery, or during acute phases of illness. With a large client base, you’ll have plenty of choice in shifts — or the option of advanced bookings in NSW Health facilities for a more consistent schedule.

Shift Day and Times:  Monday to Sunday AM PM ND

Duties may include:   
  • Providing nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU, CCU, or HDU settings 
  • Monitoring and assessing patients with unstable health conditions 
  • Administering medications, treatments, and life-support interventions 
  • Responding rapidly to emergencies and changes in patient condition 
  • Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality care 
  • Supporting families through critical care situations

About You:
You’re a skilled and resilient ICU nurse with excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills. Calm under pressure, you thrive in high-stakes environments and are committed to delivering safe, compassionate care for patients and their families during critical moments. 

To be successful, you will have:
  • Experience working as an Intensive Care Nurse in Australia (or equivalent healthcare system)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent (within last 12 months) clinical experience (1,976 total hours)  
  • Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent), Master of Nursing
  • Current, unrestricted AHPRA certification
  • Work rights in Australia
  • A Valid National Police Check
  • Current NSW Employee Working with Children’s Check
  • Up-to-date Vaccinations
  • Basic Life Support / Practical CPR Certification
  • Advanced Life Support Certification
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Commitment to quality patient care
